In my time in the military, I worked with many civilians who were there because they genuinely enjoyed what they did. Or that they felt called to public service.

These are the individuals I am referring to here. Those that have been working in public service for years and are now dealing with this.

This is EXACTLY what I was concerned about when they made the two-week deal. They gave up all their leverage to negotiate.

Then it looks like we are on the same page. I want accountability, first and foremost. Repecusions for those that violate the public's trust. Hopefully, we can make this happen.

I genuinely feel bad for those who chose public service and then are stuck working for/with this administration.

The death penalty is not only immoral, but inefficient. The government is not infallible, and the risk of innocent people being killed is not worth the supposed "satisfaction" or "justice" of killing the accused.
