I am subtweeting about how Super Mario Odyssey loves to interrupt the most fun platforming you've ever seen with slow, unfun, boring boss fights all the time. If I'm being honest I don't think I can remember a single Mario boss fight that makes its game better.

I don't know how popular of an opinion this is but I really think that if combat isn't a major part of your game then you just shouldn't have boss fights. None. You don't need them. Nothing's stopping you from just not putting any in the game.

So far my theory is that most people *don't* want console exclusives in any form. "PS5 has no games" is just a stock gag people repeat because it gets easy laughs even though they don't actually believe it should have exclusives.

If Sony puts games on PC then the PS5 is bad for having no exclusives. If Sony doesn't put games on PC then they're idiots throwing money away.

I'm fine with the Switch 2 mostly just being a way to play multiplatform stuff in my bed. I don't need exclusive games to make my purchase worthwhile.

I cannot figure out why people are so against the idea of "just a system you can play games on" as a concept. The PS5 is that and it's a meme because of it. "PS5 has no games" because there are few exclusives as if those are necessary to justify its existence.

Somewhere along the line people developed the idea that a console needs big new exclusives every 2 months to be worthwhile and that's led into influencers never shutting up about the Switch 2 not having enough new games or a big "holiday title" (which people are also obsessed with idk why)

The Switch is now as old as the N64 was when the Switch came out
