We are bubbling with pride (and tears) at the thought of all the graduates who have spent time in the Library over these past few years and who are now graduating and moving on to whatever is next. Congratulations to everyone!

I wanted to share me favorite groundhog hole in campus and a beautiful chonk was there greeting me as I photographed their home.

Carleton’s updated Chosen Name process is now available to all staff and faculty via Carleton Central. This new approach improves how chosen first names are managed and displayed, allowing individuals to specify their chosen first name for use across university systems and communications platforms.

The Library does currently have power if you're in a does not have power building and looking for a place to come sit.

The blackout poetry exhibit on the second floor is AMAZING! Come be a poet and learn about poetry collection.

I just said hi too loudly on the silent floor and for that I apologize profusely. A reminder (to me) that floors three and five are our silent floors.

A reminder that we will be open on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Monday, May 19, we will be closed and there will be no Chat Help available.

It is very quiet here in the Library. If you miss us, you are still free to come and just sit here and visit. We still have all the same things.

A non-exhaustive list generated by my head and my not-skilled drawing hand. It is entirely possible that everyone else that works here in the Library has more advanced illustrative skills than I. But the point of it all is we are here to help.

Don't forget that Magnus the therapy dog spends time with us in the Library every Tuesday from 10 to 11!

My youngest child (who is no longer so young I must say) told me she has Library time this morning. She said "I love Library time," and I wanted you to all know I didn't pay her to say that. So hey, we're all grateful to everyone who loves their Library time here at Carleton.

Today's an exciting day for us in the Library because we officially get to announce our 24-hour exam hours.

From Monday to Thursday we are open 24 hours.

Friday we are open until midnight.

Saturday we're open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Sunday we open at 10 a.m. and start all over again.

Just a wee reminder of our hours for the next couple of weeks until we head into the extended hours period!

Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to midnight
Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to midnight
Note: only floors 1 and 2 are open after 10 p.m.

We do not have a date for this poetry event yet, but we do want all poets and poetry-adjacent people who might be interested in participating to get in touch should they be interested in sharing their work on A day!

TODAY! Please join us from 11:45am to 1pm in ML 252 for a talk with Dr. Rachel Gotlieb, Lead Curator Re-installation of Design and Decorative Art Galleries, Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal.

Dr. Gotlieb will speak on the display of design-related materials in the museum context.

There is currently lots of space for you to come study in the Library. I started counting available seats and the number got moderately high before I stopped. So come on in and see us!
