Don’t waste your time on this interview, she doesn’t actually explain shit. It’s just pure fantasy that AI will magically organize all public projects.

I quite like philosophy right now but I worry about that avalanche of shitty papers on ai that's coming from the 1000s and 1000s of philosophers who suddenly got hired in that subfield and now have to publish

WestJet reversing move to install tight seating layout | CBC News
In the wake of a backlash sparked by a viral video, WestJet has cancelled a new seat configuration that squeezed an extra row on board many of its planes and left passengers with less legroom.
This whole saga has been both infuriating and hilarious because it was simply never worth it: WestJet started re-configuring planes to add another row, but this is the thing: it's only one more row. Anyone without a middle manager brain slug puppeteer them can do the math.

I love "Death in Paradise" so much. They always do this: cold open, Inspector Patterson informs a lady of a grizzly murder, we get a close up of said murder, then hard cut into the cheery reggae of the opening theme. Incredibly jarring and amazing.

I have never been a Mozilla enthusiast, but I respected that they were a truly mission driven org with distinct values.
This is not just a betrayal of those values there. That it has reached them suggests how far the “AI” rot has spread.

You Can’t AI-Proof the Classroom, Experts Say. Get Creative Instead.
Artificial intelligence is here to stay. Faculty members explain how to keep students engaged in their own learning and prevent them from relying on AI.
What a time to be alive. Blue books "may not be the foolproof way to prevent AI-assisted cheating that faculty are looking for: Meta now offers Ray-Ban glasses with a built-in AI assistant that sees what the wearer sees and can communicate silently and privately via an in-lens display."

This is how I think about it too. The big question is does it matter that a tech that does things a lot faster makes a lot of mistakes it’s hard to catch, and the answer is obviously yes but not to people who have others to clean up after them
