its weird to think its only been a year since i almost lost my dad. it was a brief time, relatively, but i still cant quite articulate the weight of everything i was feeling then without breaking a little.

My record store haul!

Picked up an Audio Technica LP60X, a pair of Edifier R1280DBs, and a few records. A basic setup but it's a step-up from the ol' suitcase player.

may have spent a *little* more than I intended today at the record store πŸ˜…

going home with three new records, a turntable, and a new pair of speakers.

Cant say I've often enjoyed rose scents the times I've tried one at the mall. But crossed fingers that you end up liking this one!

Same! Huge fan of those top notes, bergamot and cardamon sounds so good together.

Oooh, that sounds delightful

Oh also, my turntables speakers are beginning to give up but thankfully my dad had a spare one just laying around.

Crossed fingers maybe I can swing a new turntable and speaker setup for my birthday.

Shared it on my other acct but I got a few new records! Been wanting to own a Hozier album on vinyl for a while now and Wasteland Baby is by a slim margin my favourite of his. And Pet Sounds goes without saying as someone with a deep love and appreciation for the history of rock and music as a whole

Recently got my room revamped! Took out a bunch of junk to free some room then got a new set of shelves, cabinets, and a desk put in.

Finished A Tempest of Tea and my final thought about it is that it's alright. It was a very okay read, fun but its questionable on whether I'll pick up the future sequel.

A little over half way through A Tempest of Tea and it's been an enjoyable enough of a read. Somewhat scratching the itch Six of Crows left behind. Not quite as good but a fun read so far all the same.

Well I finally finished A Conjuring of Lignt and for how much it felt like it dragged on in the middle it was a great read and conclusion to the trilogy. As soon as I can I'm gonna pick up Threads of Power because this world is too interesting to let go.

Alright for all the complaining I've been making about A Conjuring of Light now that I'm about 80% of the way through things have finally picked back up again and I'm at the edge of my seat.

Fortunately despite how the book has dragged on V.E. Schwab has a way of pulling me in with her writing.

Despite the heat having killed my reading pace A Conjuring of Light has given me its own share of struggle. A great book still altogether but feels like it might be dragging on a bit too long.

This heat wave has really killed my usual reading pace ngl.

Only finished 3 books last month and even now I'm struggling to finish A Conjuring of Light.
