In my tiny sphere alone, of our ~10 or so active clients, 2 of them are entirely or almost entirely funded by programs this freeze affects. People will lose their jobs. People will die. This is not hyperbole. But we can act.

MN has 8,641 nonprofits employing 376,328 people. In 2024-25, Minnesota received $39 billion in federal grants. (Thx to MCN for the data gathering.)

There was once a version of me that set an alarm for when you could claim an official handle. Her name was @lindsi and she's still on IG, FB, Venmo, X. Apparently either there are lots more Lindsis now, or all the Lindsis are just less tired. Probably both.

At @smbmsp.bsky.social last week, @myklroventine.bsky.social teased me for having to add a character (the 'g') to my Bluesky handle. "What's up with that?!" He asked. My answer: "I'm tired."
