Frosty the squirrel visited the water bowl last week, along with a skunk, opossum, raccoon, another squirrel, mouse, and birds.

People click on clickbait or upvote Reddit poseurs. You will look like a dick if you note that you actually wrote a well-researched piece on that subject. I wish there was a better system to get quality content prioritized and available. Even most journalists do poor research.

It's disheartening for any writer whose goal is sci comm or critical thinking. Your work, if it's read at all, is crushed under the weight of rubbish that is generated without any knowledge or thought at all.

Wow. Newsbreak keeps making up completely fictitious earthquakes. Pages of reporting on another earthquake that didn’t happen.

Typed up a short message to my congresspeople. Went to www.congress.gov. Contacted them all. Copy-paste. It took 15 minutes total. Do it now. Do it again next week. They need to hear you. Yell louder because they are F***ING deaf.

I want a public opinion survey that asks “Do you agree or disagree that millions should be spent on a White House ballroom while taking money from children’s cancer research?” And, “Do you agree with spending $40b to help Argentina while cutting US health care funding?”

I'm not sure you can get more marie antoinette than taking away food stamps before thanksgiving while you build a gold and marble dance hall so the other crooks can bring bribe you over a badly-cooked (argentinian) steak

This graph is incredibly misleading, inflating the belief numbers with those who answered "neither agree nor disagree". What if those respondents just didn't want to answer? Or didn't know what the question referred to? Boo on UBC for promoting this.
