There are lots of things you can do to help. I made a donation to this group that works to help trans people and their families relocate. It's not enough but it's something.

I may physically be there for something like a month in total out of the year, but for government purposes my official residence is in Kansas. What that state just did to functionally unrecognize trans people is a nefarious example of institutionalized violence.

lol that's my brother's cat; she was being particularly extra that day
Here's my current companion: Sadie (and yes she only has one eye)

Other than the title song, co-written by Neil Sedaka, this album is very Beach Boys-adjacent, with songwriting contributions from Brian and Dennis Wilson and Bruce Johnston. Obviously, I love it
From 1975
I spent yesterday bemoaning my lack of fruitcake but then remembered I had made 2 and stuck one in the freezer for just such an occasion

This year I continued my streak* in which over half of the books I read were not written by cis men.
*that began last year. I read 3 books in all of 2023; grief is funny like that
The cover of the LP "Barbra Streisand's Greatest Hits Volume 2" by Barbra Streisand
The best song on this album is a cover of Stevie's All in Love is Fair. A brilliant song that Barbra sings the hell out of.
From 1978

Long-time followers will know of my fondness for Herr Kaempfert and Ladi Geisler's knack-bass sound. Lots of fun originals in this collection from 1963
