8. Sentimental Value - 8/10
The scene where she looks through the documents adds one mark to this - profoundly troubling and real. The performances are all exemplary and empathetic, but something about the screenplay held it back from classic territory for me.

I liked this and it rang true but I think it's a classic US comedy-drama where you'd prefer it if they just reined it in a bit. The supporting characters were either annoying or had about two lines a piece.

Good animation and decent story, but I am not a big fan of the non-realist beginning stuff, it made me roll my eyes.

This is really good stuff. It's a shame that it's coming from a discredited government on so many othrt issues and, of course, you cannot truly call a Bill "Representation of the People" if you aren't legislating for the one single thing that would improve that most: proportional representation.

Yes. I was at the game tonight. It obviously wasn't all the fans or anything like that. But it was loud, there were several thousand and they knew why they were doing it.

Embarrassing. And determined that these people won't own football or my football club.

Refugee status to be temporary as Shabana Mahmood rips up rules on UK asylum Home secretary announces 30-month protection limit, with refugees required to leave if their home countries are later judged safe

So if I’ve understood correctly, we’re going to carry on supporting illegal wars whilst also blaming people who flee the ensuing chaos and destruction

Compare and contrast Starmer calling Green's "extremists", "divisive" and "sectarian" with Mahmood repeating false Reform claims about "legitimate concerns" and "strain on public services". It isn't a choice between Reform and Labour when end result is the same.

'The mayor must be more ambitious and back control of our region's bus network' Green councillor Toby Wells says metro mayor Helen Godwin needs to deliver "desperately needed change"

βœ… As my colleague @tobywells.bsky.social points out, "franchising is such a good idea that it was universally supported by all parties" in the mayoral elections.

❌ But now she is in power, Labour's mayor is dragging her feet.

🚌 We need better buses, not more Labour delays and broken promises.

I genuinely don't understand why promotion and relegation has led to clubs going bankrupt. Is it because there's no equivalent of parachute payments or is it something else?

Prem: Relegation scrapped as league switches to franchise-style model Traditional promotion and relegation to and from the Prem will be scrapped from the 2026-27 season as landmark changes to the English game are voted through.

Ugh. English rugby union to become like US sports. Promotion and relegation give lesser sides agony and glory. That's what sport is about.

Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard on the Gorton and Denton campaign.
Reform tried to smear our candidate, Laboured tried to smear our policies, but in the end the people saw through it.
