I say I’m “offended” in quotes because I’m not really upset or anything, just slightly uncomfortable if anything, but I this was based on an interaction with a friend discussing a film and as she is someone who tends to be very vocal on issues I was curious as to her reaction

It’s so funny when you talk about being “offended” and “triggered” by depictions of your disability to people who are always talking about things being “offensive” and “triggering” and they’re dismissive, thus proving they are not at all empathetic & merely performative in their “raising awareness”
