I just finished my vintage 1/100 Den'an Zon from Gundam F91! I seriously love vintage #Gunpla especially from this era. F91 probably has my fave overall mobile suit designs in the entire series

If the issue is giving Mina more things to do, I mean, she's basically the main character after the first act is done. She doesn't need to cheat on Jonathan for the sexual predator metaphor who violated and killed her best friend. She really doesn't.

If the problem is giving Drac more stuff to do because his book appearances are scant, it is in fact very easy to give the villain of the story more villain things to do instead of making him a tragic romance hero.

Like sure, the original Dracula novel has problems, mainly the anti-Romani racism, but that's something you can easily cut out of the story without affecting the themes and character writing.

WE DO NOT NEED ANOTHER DRAC/MINA SHIPFIC. THAT ONE ACTUALLY DOES HURT THE STORY.

Nothing against sexy vampires but Dracula is explicitly not that in the book.

The recent Nosferatu film is great because it depicts the vampire as the bitchless loser that he is rather than a sexy representation of lust. Dracula is literally a rapist. That's the entire metaphor. That's his thing.

Is it really that hard to just read the fucking book before making an adaptation of it

Is it so difficult to NOT have Mina fall in love with Dracula. You know, that thing that famously never happened in the actual book and only exists in movie and stage versions for some godforsaken reason

Much like how you're not meant to think the protagonist of Lolita is a good person, or think any of the characters in Great Gatsby are good people, or identify with Paul in Dune. I think it's a very vulnerable story exploring the sides of racism you don't often see in a society you can't fight alone
