The 26th might have been the final game at the Coliseum, but the 29th last year was the final time they played as the Oakland A’s.

It was a beautifully painful series as we said goodbye to our fandom. We will always be “Oakland” A’s fans but sadly we’ll never be fans of this team again.

Facts

Looks like Sac ain’t fooled by the disingenuous jersey reveal on the final game.

Often imitated but will never be duplicated.

Ya’ll are such a cheap imitation of something you’ll never be able to recapture.

You’re an abomination of a “once” historic franchise.

One thing we noticed right away was that the A’s were dead set on not honoring the history at the Coliseum, recognizing the fans, or providing any kind of farewell merch.

Even the baseball gods don’t respect the A’s anti-LDB tee edict as mentioned in the ESPN article.

Look no further than the SJ Earthquakes. Heart of Silicon Valley, new stadium, and within 9 years John Fisher said he needed a newer stadium but not after tanking payroll to league lows, attendance decimated, and fans pissed.

Also at the very least, change branding so LV could have something to call their own. Not some tainted brand that’s been demolished by Fisher and his executive FO led by Catherine Aker.

Man, feel sorry for LV. Most people got no idea what’s coming for them in John Fisher.

No clue why Vegas didn’t hold out for an expansion. Have always found it crazy MLB would want to put the worst owner in sports in the entertainment capital of the world.

Not sure there’s enough words in the dictionary to articulate how insane it all is. Fucking nuts.

Still amazes us what MLB has done to ensure Fisher gets whatever he wants.
