The fact that we can look at this graph and still think we’re tackling inequality says it all. We’re trying to fix systemic poverty the same way we fix traffic - by adding one more lane to the highway!

It’s disingenuous and performative for any politician to dismiss another party as one of ‘protest’ or ‘grievances’, as if dissent isn’t a core part of politics itself.

And your first fact isn't entirely true - 20+ countries made a non-binding pledge at COP28 to work toward tripling global nuclear capacity. It was aspirational, and not 20 of the "most developed" countries. Nuclear might make a lot of sense for some economies, but just not ours right now.

AEMO/CSIRO found that renewables + storage/firming are the cheapest deployable option for Aus this decade. You're right about tech companies - any move they make to decarbonise is great, and nuclear isnt inherently bad. But nations aren't tech companies or data centres.
