Yeah, hi, I’m a person with “mobility challenges” (excuse me while I hurl). What we want, by and large, are not expensive, heavy devices that will “help us walk again”, but ramps.
I know, it’s not sexy, as technology invented before Christ, but it is overlooked in favor of…this. Repeatedly.

I'm not sure how many more times we need to see/hear about violent men calling women "bitch" as they assault & even murder them before we accept that misogynistic slurs aren't neutral.

Radio 4 and BBC and Channel 4 News and all the papers completely skewing the Peggie story so your average person will have no idea what actually happened. Doesn’t this make you furious? Integrity in journalism is dead, not just in the US

Always amused (not amused) at how regularly the idea that there is a 'right' amount of mental ill-health in British society and that we must somehow return there. Declaring the correct amount of mental ill-health based on what you are prepared to pay to mitigate its effects isn't how reduction works

Mahmood hits back at European watchdog over trans and protest rights concerns
The Supreme Court ruled in April that the words ‘woman’ and ‘sex’ in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex.
www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...
Hmmmm. "The Home Secretary has said it is unacceptable for a European human rights watchdog to “question the validity” of the Supreme Court ruling".
Except the Commissioner didn't question the "validity" of the Supreme Court ruling, he questioned its fairness.

Long Covid patients gaslit by GPs, Surrey study finds
The University of Surrey study says patients faced "gatekeeping" of medical treatment from doctors.
The BBC has covered our study on medical power and #LongCovid. It’s a shame they didn’t name me and got my university name wrong, but nonetheless, good to see some MSM attention

71% of disabled people want to use more sustainable modes of transport but face barriers to this. The numbers 71% are written in thick black tape on a bright orange banner, with orange arrows pointing to the figures.
71% of disabled people want to use more sustainable modes of transport, but face needless barriers such as overcrowding, missing announcements and a lack of lifts. Public transport must be accessible, so we can all make choices about how to travel.

Needs to be widely shared with cisgender people, especially politicians. Utterly horrifying that Britain has come to this- that most of Britain is just looking the other way while a whole community is being eliminated from society because of lies and hatred. transactual.org.uk/wp-content/u...
