Notice how many of the OF accounts refused to abandon X because that's where their numbers and cashcow was. They didn't want to start again. Now X is on its knees, they're swamping bsky.

But now, and Bsky is turning too, our spaces are overrun with people that are only interested in selling you something. People that tick all the conventional boxes. People that don't want to engage with you unless you pay for it. And that's their right, but I don't have to like it or engage with it.

Reason I despise this so much: back in the days of very old school twitter and other forums, they were frequented by those of us that would get laughed off a casting couch if we considered it. We had a space to share ourselves without judgement. A community of "misfits" with a shared interest.
