If KOSA passes then using a VPN to circumvent your state or country's restrictions won't work anymore because all the infrastructure for making porn will collapse. Even for sites based outside of the US, if they can't move money with US banks, it's over.

"The Merchant must provide its Acquirer with monthly reports that include a list of all content, including URLs and videos, flagged as potentially illegal or otherwise in violation of the Standards and the relevant actions taken by the Merchant, as well as details of all complaints and take-down requests the Merchant received. The Acquirer must share these reports with Mastercard, upon request." READ: Mastercard requires merchants to share links to any and all content on a platform's website that are potentially "illegal" or "in violation of the Standards" with it on a monthly basis.

"Upon request, the Acquirer must be able to provide Mastercard with temporary account credentials that allow access to a Merchant website for up to seven (7) days to view all content that is behind a paywall or otherwise restricted to members of the website" READ: Mastercard requires platforms to provide them access to any and all content on the site at any time, including free access to content that is otherwise gated behind a paywall or login (including drafts or other private unlisted works), to facilitate the review of that content. They claim to not be reviewing games while requiring Steam and itch to give them unlimited games access so that they may then review those games. They are outright lying.

Finally, Mastercard's statement claims that they have not "evaluated any game" on platforms impacted by their content standards. This is contradicted by their policies, which require merchants to let Mastercard review and inspect all content directly.

They're lying. Keep calling.
