His phone has no signal and he had the sense of direction of a drunk and dizzy squirrel. Miles huffed at the being standing before him.

"Well, I was supposed to be investigating a crime scene. But I appear to have taken a wrong turn."

After a bit Miles tilted Simeon's chin up to give them a proper kiss.

"I need to go, I have after trial paperwork to do. If I don't see you soon, I will write. I promise."

He took their hand and squeezed it gently.

He set his tea down and gave Clover his undivided attention.

Miles's hands moved down to rub his belly.

He gave Phoenix's belly a gentle squish.

Miles sighed.

He took his glasses off to rub his face.

"It feels as though everyone in LA has lost their mind. We've been very busy."

He walked faster until he was fully running. He didn't quite know where he was going, but if it'll get him away from the creature. . .
