It’s darkly funny how willing Clinton is to appear with people who hate her so much they love to see her executed. She’s always screaming to get them to see that, ultimately, she really is on their side!

Newsom really seems like a worst of both worlds pick who reads like he's too liberal but actually is moderate in a lot of unpopular, pro-plutocrat ways.

So:

1) There was never a "fight" to begin with
2) There aren't any visible drugs (not that it would matter if there were)
3) They watched two clearly helpless people try not to drown in the ocean for 41 minutes, not "staying in the fight"
4) Then they killed them

This is straight up murder.

Yeah, it’s certainly not like the Constitution describes them as co-equal and if you put it as simply as “one branch decides what the laws are and another branch is *required* to carry out those decisions” it would be unmistakable which branch is more powerful among the two.

OMG they got David Cronenberg as part of the cast of this film. I hope it’s even a fraction as good as it looks.

Because there’s no way to give this kind of thing the two-sides treatment, i.e., to pretend there’s a plausible non-bigoted explanation, I feel like much of the commentariat just ignores these kinds of moves. One of the many ways our white supremacist government is sanitized.

Yeah it’s so dispiriting that this is what has to pass for good news these days, but it is.

If another country sentenced a criminal to be raped, we'd consider it a crime against humanity.

A large segment of Americans regard prison rape as a de facto part of the sentence.
