Since I'm still in a bit of a Mario Galaxy mood, I made some sprites of Starship Mario for use on map screens. There's even little passengers! I made 3D renders to use as perfectly accurate references.

In Super Smash Bros., the skeletons visible when characters are hurt by electric attacks are not tied to specific animations, and instead are a form that can be toggled on and off at any time, including in cutscenes. Below are excerpts of the game's intro, with skeletons.

Then again maybe I'm mixing two different groups of people. Or people who changed their minds(but it's like, the public seemed to cheer when the game got canned back then, assuming it was purely them who killed off the game.

I was lukewarm on its odd art style back then but still was kinda excited for essentially Mega Man 2 Powered Up, but it feels like so many people forgot how vitriolic and angry everyone was about the game when they're like "how dare they kill off the game so many people were so hyped for".

I make it a habit now to view my original characters beyond a self-limiting and fandom-centric definition of "oc", but it will never not be funny to see it as "I just made a guy up in my head and it's too bad you can't see how cool he is you just have to take my word for it"
