Cobb salad with an iced coffee was my go-to order at pretty much any restaurant I went to with friends.

I never had much trouble with that, but I live in LA so every restaurant has a pretty robust salad menu. I haven’t really been big on bread since I was like 18, so I usually order salads or burgers without buns as a default and that’s a generally acceptable keto meal.

It’s a pain to maintain because it’s not exactly a diet you can take breaks from easily. Like, if you knock yourself out of ketosis it takes days to get back into it

It was long enough ago I forget a lot of the details, but the medical professionals were like “these numbers mean ketosis, this is the optimally safe range to stay in to be in ketosis without turning your blood into acid, these are the best times of day to test for accurate results”

I question the veracity of this because I did a really earnest stab at keto a few years back to the point where I was pricking my finger to measure my blood ketones three times a day, and my blood was consistently giving safe/optimal/ideal results on about 30g carbs a day
