The running has restated after about 3 years. CouchTo5K wk 2 complete today. All prep for a 10k in June with my niece raising money for @CR_UK in memory of my sister. Every penny for this incredible charity is well deserved. All support is appreciated. fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/team/annas-1...
11.01.2025 21:29 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I seem to have had lots of follows on here with very few posts! I'll be more interesting soon, I promise. At the moment, getting through the week of a new job at school and a new job at home is taking up most of my time.

Just finished my final bits of handover for my current school, sent a final message to our leadership team, and signed out of my account on all devices. End of an era.
Now, to spend the rest of this weekend with my incredible family before a new journey begins Monday.
Bank Holiday Monday, final week of the holidays, off back to school shopping today. Shoes 👞 and potentially a new suit 🕴(or 2) incoming!
Happy final week ##Edusky.
Also all the best to all those returning tomorrow.
We changed our supervised study system a few years ago (after a visit from @tomboulter.bsky.social). It changed our Work ethic immediately had has had a huge impact.
Silent study zone. In rows. Supervised by librarian. Work from every subject available in there. So obvious in hindsight.

21.08.2024 21:26 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0This message is so important. It really bugs me when I hear "I got a 3, I failed", or "he/she/they are failing subject X as they are only on a 2". These are academic level 2 qualifications. Getting a 1, 2 or 3 still requires learning, knowledge, application, evaluation and skill.

Tried to ignore the pain and taught for 2 hours afterwards until the caretaker insisted he was taking me to A&E.

As well as results day, tomorrow is a big day. I'll be heading straight from my current to new school tomorrow for lunch with my new SLT.
Excited for the start of the year, whilst also slightly saddened about the thought of less time with this one. I assume that feeling gets easier?
The butterflies for GCSE results day tomorrow are as present as they were for my first as a teacher.
I'm looking forward to celebrating the achievements of our students, and supporting those who need it.
I'm moving to a behaviour, attendance and culture role from September. New school. New role. New platform.

Hello #Edusky
I've started the leap. I'm not sure I can entirely give up the positive experiences I had on #Edutwitter just yet, but I'm here to start.
New role for me in September, in a new school, so excited for the new starts.
