I would love a tabletop game that is basically the same vibe as climbing and unlocking towers in Zelda BOTW. Please and thank you.

I can absolutely see why others would struggle with it though. Playing up to three pushed it to the very edge. Especially with those expecting a deeper experience.

I really enjoyed it solo, and this is hard to articulate, but because it’s a one off narrative and you only have a single thing to do on each card, it’s easy to pick up and come back to. Works well for me where gaming time is limited. I’d almost describe it as akin to TikTok for reading??

I’m not sure if this is intentional or a happy accident, but what I’ve found (in a busy home with family life to balance) it’s perfect to tap in and out of. Because each vantage, typically, only has one action to resolve, it’s bite sized. Do some challenges, take a break, then pick back up again. 👌🏼

I’m having such a good time with Vantage from @stonemaiergames.com there’s so much content in it. Absolutely perfect solo game for me right now and plays great up to 3. Production value is 10/10. Awesome game to lock yourself away with.

Chatting in the office yesterday and I compared something to the size of the original game boy. Most didn’t even know what it looked like. They thought the first was the DS. Harrowing experience.

Ah amazing. I’m yet to pick that up / try it out! We knew nothing about Irish Gauge until Airecon at the start of the year. Jumped out at us in the library and have loved it ever since. I don’t think there is a truer definition of a board game: “Trains in 1800’s Ireland”.

It always surprises me how some games just jump out to you when looking at someone’s shelves. Irish Gauge is always the one for me.
