But making it formal can be important too. E.g. if it happened before that a supervisor was disappointed in a specific situation, or even worse frustrated and aggressive about it, then probably it's a good idea not only to have regular check-ins but also to have a written record of them.

I agree those are important aspects too. Here, I think having reminders or a certain regularity is quite important, because the "original plan" always changes and keep changing as you move forward, so having regular check-ins to discuss what everybody is expecting and by when it's good.

Split-image with the text βTO BEE or NOT TO BEE.β The left side shows a vibrant wildflower meadow with a bee on a daisy, symbolising biodiversity and a healthy ecosystem. The right side shows a dry, barren landscape with dead trees and no visible wildlife, representing environmental degradation. An EU flag appears in the bottom right corner.
Today, over 20,000 bee species are buzzing for #WorldBeeDay π
Bees & other pollinators keep 80% of crop and wild flowering plants alive.
Yet, 1 in 10 bee, hoverfly, and butterfly species are now at risk of extinction in the EU.

Extensive compositionality in the vocal system of bonobos
Compositionality, the capacity to combine meaningful elements into larger meaningful structures, is a hallmark of human language. Compositionality can be trivial (the combinationβs meaning is the sum ...

Support Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust on Giving Day for Apes 2022
Join us on October 8th, 2022 for #GivingDayForApes β a global day of giving to support wildlife sanctuaries protecting, rehabilitating, and conserving great apes
It's π΅Giving Day for Apesπ΅ and I would warmly suggest to consider donating to @Chimfunshi. They take extra care of the rescued chimps living there, and every euro helps to get them even healthier and happier lives.
