Showing it? Nothing. They aired AWA, Global, and WCCW. But they never presented it as sports. Present it as spectacle and artform. Or go the other way and present it as business.

But sports, nope.

WWE might wanna consider some time for him in NXT and AAA, and reintroduce him.

COVERING it is one thing. Treating like sports is another. Tell the talent not to be 100% in character like Becky Lynch was. She's GREAT on mainstream interviews, but she was obviously told to do "The Man". Someone like Punk can bounce over and talk Blackhawks then back to build a match easily.

I think THAT played a big part. Fans that are only a LITTLE smart assumed Jericho was going to pop out with "Hi guys" or something.

Difference back then is that ESPN presented it as programming not sports.

The show seems to go off the rails with the Danhausen bit. Then the main event was an hot overbooked mess.

Crowd didn't know who Danhausen was for the most part, but for a handful. Some may have expected Jericho. It came off like the Gobbedlygooker.

Hope he makes lots of $, but it came off flat.

Wrong time, wrong promotion.

Won't ever beat that entrance when he sold out the United Center on a rumor on a Friday night what already seems like forever ago.

Gotta have the carrier with ESPN Unlimited (or a VPN and Netflix).

May just be sound burps. We had it too through ESPN on Xfinity.

Bottom line is, if we don't remember to LIVE, the regime already won.

Does he actually realize what he's saying? Does he understand the inherent hypocrisy in what he's done with kowtowing to Saudi money? He still shows up at demonstrations, but doesn't get that no one buys it anymore.

Keep in mind...what I wrote doesn't mean everyone agreeing with this doesn't have crap going on in their heads (including me). But finding small moments of joy are needed. A wrestling show for me, gardens for Amy, your local bar or dispensary for you. Don't let anyone deny them to you.

Depends on your cable/streaming provider. Xfinity just added it for free. YouTube TV is the last one left.

One of the issues is that they didn’t wait until all cable/streaming services integrated with the ESPN app. People were NOT going to pay $30 for a 4-5 match PLE, when they paid far less previously. A lot used Netflix and a VPN and got them free.

Then tomorrow and Monday, there will be the inevitable blue MAGA screaming at us saying we don't care about the world.

We do. But we don't want to be drooling in a corner in six months.

We need to live and watch AEW, tend to flower gardens, and remember to LIVE. Otherwise, the regime already won.

Isn't the first time ESPN aired wrestling. They've aired AWA, World Class Championship Wrestling, and Global Wrestling Federation. But it was just programming, not something they promoted.

Especially with the NFL, who has Paramount/CBS airing NFL, as well as all other networks should that become necessary.
