My wife grew up in PNG where men and women sat on opposite sides of the church and the women would call out to their husbands! Whatever else is going on, in the context of 1Cor, it doesn't seem to be a blanket ban on women speaking in church.

I'm egalitarian so please don't take this as an attack, but i don't think you can say Paul is limiting these verses to only those churches. While it's true he is speaking to specific churches, he is clearly drawing from broad principles (like creation). I think there are better ways of dealing.
