Holly always sleeps downstairs on her bed. She is so upset, I'm letting her lie on our bed with me for a while. I'm hoping the fireworks end soon.

The rain is pouring down. The fireworks have largely stopped but Holly is still wedged beside me and worried, still trembling.
At one point she tried to sit on my shoulders and hide behind my head. Have you ever had a 25kg Border Collie perched on your shoulder?
Poor thing. My heart goes out to her.

I've given Holly a double-dose of sedatives but she's still going mad with the fireworks.
