I hope he wakes up every night in a cold sweat for the rest of his life. I hope he becomes afraid of mirrors, b/c he can’t bear to look at himself. I hope that scrap of intellect eats him alive.

Watching Marco Rubio’s body language in that💩show of an ambush in the Oval yesterday made it clear that he retains some scrap of intellect or dignity, despite having sold it to hold his current position.

Last night Cody and I mused about who was going to be fired in tonight’s Friday Night Massacre.

Let’s see. Today the elected leaders of my nation humiliated themselves and our nation on the international stage; my state government filed a bill stating the Bible is historically accurate; and about 1/3 of my students used AI on an easy assignment. At least I had a nice nap?

(We will. I know we will. I’m just having a low moment. Probably b/c I had to try to calm my students’ fears without knowing any more than they do.)

I do understand that the chaos, confusion, and fear is part of the plan. But I have no idea how we’re going to live like this—let alone hold on to our sanity to fight back.
