Trump doesn't care about oppressed Iranians any more than he cares about the health/welfare of US citizens, i.e. he doesn't. My initial thoughts on the Trump/Netanyahu/Iran war are as follows:
1. Trump is diverting US citizen's attention from the growing demands to release the Trump/Epstein files.

2. Trump may be using the war to declare powers to Federalize elections to rig the upcoming midterms to prevent the ever-increasing chances Maga will fare poorly. Or declare martial law for the same purpose. All to insure he stays in power because if he loses power, it is likely he will go to jail.

3. Trump is trying to become the hero that defeated the Ayatollah to try to turn the tide on his increasingly grim midterm prospects in case his schemes to rig the elections with Musk, Thiel, and Leiendecker (new owner of Dominion), acquiring Federal powers due to the war, or gerrymandering fail.

4. How can I grift a profit here? Profit through grifting is aways on the table with Trump. Think Gaza Riviera.

5. Reward his co-grifting partners in the Middle East (The Arab League), many of which have normalized relations with Israel, in the endless religious struggle between the Arab Sunnis and the Persian Shias for the bribes they have received from them. (Gaza Riviera profit for everyone!)

6. Reward his co-grifting partners in The Arab League for their bribes to him by removing the nuclear threat posed to them by Iran.

7. Trump may just be succumbing to his narcissistic and macho tendencies to bleat "I am the most powerful person in the world, and I can do anything I want. Trump is a well know bully and so he may also just be beating up on Iran just because it is what he likes to do as a bully.

8. I think Putin has both sexual and financial kompromat on Trump from when his casinos went bankrupt. No doubt this irks Trump immensely. Putin supports Iran. This could be a way to diminish Putin's power without openly challenging him. Trump saying, do not use the kompromat. This could backfire.

9. It may be that his attack is yet another example of his poorly (or none at all) thought out emotional reactive jerk method of domestic and international policy that we have seen time and time again.

10. It may be that it is the policy of the last person that whispered in his ear.

11. It may only be the scrambled logic that seems to be his hallmark. In other words, it could just be ineptitude.
