We had her for a Porchside Concert by Muscial Stage Co during COVID and it was THE BEST. She's so awesome.

I think that a fair and balanced media is a pretty modern idea and mostly an aberration in history… Most people standing on their soap boxes in the town square or publishing their pamphlets were expected to be presenting their own opinion, whatever that was and however crazy that might be.

Absolutely this. Build apartments and keep United Bakers, some other retail, and a grocery store and those seniors will have an awesome community right outside their door.

I was amazed watching one of those sports radio shows today on TV at how integrated the gambling was into the broadcast! They were discussing whether something was a good bet or not, what the odds were on both sides of something, at LENGTH.

I'm curious to see if anything new happens on Vaughan Rd. between St. Clair & Oakwood - the lineup outside Hunter Coffee every day suggests some pent-up demand for more...

It's baffling that the City Council of Canada's largest city spends time on this, like they used to with the trees. Why don't these things stay with the community councils?

It is crazy - in grade 10, you have to work backwards from post-secondary entrance requirements to pick your grade 11 courses, meaning you’re deciding your life’s direction at the age of 15 (possibly 16 if you have an early birthday). At least with grade 13 we had another year to fart around.

My takeaway (not new, but happy to see again) is that ranked ballots give more people a chance to get behind a candidate, whether their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice. A much better way for people to feel like they belong in a coalition.

Clock change means it’s dark earlier - I say go for it. They’re pretty and give light in the darkness.

My mom lived just west of there for almost 40 years & when it was time to move out of her house to an apartment there were none. It would be great if some of these (wealthy!) people could stay in their beloved neighbourhood, but we need more apartments for that.

I know we like to complain about politicians, but I had a good interaction today: I emailed a city Councillor (not mine) about the state of a park in their ward and they responded (for real - not a form response!) in less than 24 hrs to say they've already taken action. Very happy to hear that!

I like that one too - it's a clever way to bring together the brand and the Jays (which most do not very well). The rest of my house is pretty sick of that one, too, though.
