What did we make of Gavin and Stacey then?. I thought it was brilliant, superb writing, superb characters and they got the storyline spot on. Sonia became the most despised TV character for years in a matter of minutes😂. Brilliant TV and in my opinion, lived up to the hype.

Well, as it turns out, they weren't. However there is alway a silver lining, and for us traveling Briggers, the disappointment of a late postponement was offset by a fine aftenoon in The White Hart at Bawtry near Doncaster. A very fine watering hole indeed.
