@locallycan.bsky.social did it again, this time of my truesona!
This piece brings me so much joy, and definitely fits my personality to a T.
Thank you, I'm so emotional looking at this, still ;v;
Whenever I went outside this summer, butterflies would land on me, and it felt like this.

A painting of a coyote in bright orange, head thrown back in a howl. The fur is stylized into interlocking brushstroke shapes.
🔸February Coyote Studies 5 & 6 🔸
More 1 hour coyote studies! I had to go over on time with the green one due to not having a solid initial drawing, but took that lesson to heart for the rest of the studies and found much better success!
A painting of a coyote leaping, rendered in shard-like brushstrokes in grey, pink, orange and pale yellow.
🔸February Coyote Study 7 🔸
This one was a little unusual- leaning further into the brushstroke stylization from the previous study and testing how far I could go with abstracting info.

A fake PSA flyer for a scenario in which furries are humans who have actually turned into anthropomorphic animals. The flyer describes the symptoms of a condition called "animanthropy", which has become increasingly prevalent. A drawing of a young person with canid-type animanthropy is in the top-right corner. While the flyer may appear informative or avoidant at a casual glance, after reading the entire message it is revealed to be an invitation to those in the early stages of animanthropy, guiding them to a set of coordinates in the Western Hemisphere. The text reads as follows: "There are animals living amongst humans. Are you one of them? Since 1980, an increasing number of people have been transformed into humanoid animals, or anthros, through unknown means. While initially an incredibly rare condition, animanthropy has proliferated exponentially over the past 40 years, with upper estimates suggesting that 0.1% of the global population (9.5 million people) could be affected by 2050. You are not alone. Find us." The symptoms inset reads: "Symptoms include: increases in body/facial hair, coarsening/sharpening of nails, extension of nose, ears, and/or face, growth of a tail, non-human vocalizations, and a strong desire to visit the wild." The flyer ends with a phone number, (202) ANT-HROS, and a set of coordinates: 41.762861, -111.711.340.

A wolf feasts on a carcass in a snowy opening. It is dusk and the trees in the background are dark silhouettes. There is a trail of blood leading to the carcass which is mostly out of frame, save for its open torso. The wolf's muzzle and forepaws are coated in blood. It looks up from its meal to meet eyes with the viewer.

Below the horizon, carefully chosen ancestors mark pivotal moments in adaptation, each contributing to the form and survivor we see today. Above the horizon, Coyote stands alert at the center, framed by both Denver’s skyline and a mountain backdrop, symbols of their ability to thrive in cities as well as wilderness. Embedded in the ground are the skulls and bones of carnivores whose lineages ended long ago, emphasizing Coyote’s persistence in contrast.
