The obvious thing is that he'd prepared it - the slightly different angles were all planned to give (im)plausible deniability.

There was absolutely nothing spur of the moment about it. That claim is itself preplanned.

Spennyware was such a huge step forwards for me, being able to start to imagine bigger things - we've struggled to match it, really, and that's been a long term weakness of ours. But I think we're closer than we've ever been to something robust now... 🤞

One of the reasons I listen a bit to my daughter is that I have experiences like this, where someone says 'I'm not very neurotypical' and I think 'what on earth do you mean, you seem utterly norrrrroh hang on a minute...' 🤣

I'm a bit conflicted about it. I see the markers other people notice, and I know my daughter would LOVE it to be something we share - and maybe I just learnt to mask very well at a young age - but, mmm, just not entirely sure. Interesting, though!

I've got loads of love for normies (oversharing alert!) and I absolutely get that I don't fit very well for lots of them - which is completely okay 🙂

I don't resent the people who see me in a negative way AT ALL.

They've all got their own stuff to carry, and if I make that harder for them, I don't want them to have to put up with me on top of what they're already dealing with!

I recognise some of those elements in myself, and I think I'm getting gradually better at turning down the dial when I'm with other people, but it's always very joyful for me when I get to be unfiltered with other slightly neurospicy dreaming imagining folk.

Oh, hang on, also maybe should add that I'm not very neurotypical. I often get told that I talk too much, and/or that I'm too intense, or that I overshare or that I'm 'not normal' or 'just too much'.

My daughter's been assessed as having autism, and she's hugely keen for me to share it with her!

(although I do still get itchy feet now and again, so it might not be the end of that story just yet).

Oh, and I've lived and worked in lots of countries - Wales, England, Germany, Portugal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Zimbabwe, Dubai - people are often interested in that, although it all seems a long time ago to me now - I've been settled in Wales for the last twenty years...

I could never have predicted how much I would be able to rewire my brain for happiness.

That's probably what I'll talk about most of the time, because I love seeing other people becoming happier.

I'll finish the damned thing, by hook or by crook, in the next year or two or three 🤣

Above all else, I practise being happy.

The most important discovery of my life (thank you, Thich Nhat Hanh, and my wife Catrin for buying me 'Peace is Every Step'!) was that happiness takes practice.

I read widely, mostly nonfiction but I've dived back into fiction again in the last year or so, as well as poetry.

I write occasional poems, self-published a book about learning Welsh, and am currently often regretting starting to write another book, about being Welsh.

I have a 16 year old daughter and a 14 year old son - my daughter is home schooled (with heavy flavourings of unschooling!) - they're both lovely, even when they're driving us up the wall, and I'm confident they both know how much they're loved.

(it's a slim possibility, but it might actually happen).

My aging body (56 and counting) is not delighted about this, and enough bits of it may break or fall off to stop it happening - or, you never know, it might respond to the training and decide to lose the two or three stone I really need to.

I'm a big believer in independence for Wales and Scotland and England - I think the British Empire is over, and we can work better together as part of Europe.

I'm currently trying to get fit again just in case I have to pull a 110kg sled most of the length of Greenland...
