Diasporas are rarely representative because of selection biases in reasons and ability to leave.

The more you love a country and its government, the more it takes to get you to leave—so among the first to leave are usually critics.

I’m not sure why being Jewish is the relevant factor here.

Too often, people dismiss the Jewish diaspora from Arab countries by blaming Israel and Zionism for why they became hostile to Jews. But it doesn’t stop that hostility being real or antisemitic.
