Farage rants about "family voting" & postal votes being "a rich seam for fraudsters to mine" without any evidence whatsoever.
He's silent on the far more dangerous problem of money flowing into UK politics from billionaires abroad. Given how much of Reform's cash comes this way, perhaps that's why.

This is the calculus no-one in the Labour cabinet seems capable of understanding. Our economy, as well as our society, is entirely dependent on, and massively benefits from, inward migration.

Let's face it, if Farage/Reform get into power by democratic means, they will waste no time in destroying the capacity of the electorate to kick them out again.

Limited temp stats I'm afraid, as my temp sensor had become inaccurate. Oregon Scientific has stopped making replacement sensors, but fortunately I purchased a spare a couple of years ago so things should be back to normal for March. Max temp was 15.8Β°C (25th) and min 0.2Β°C (17th).

Happy St David's Day! February in Dorchester was exceptionally wet with 172.2mm of rain. Coming after a very January means we have had 433.2mm of rain so far in 2026, while the Winter (Dec-Feb) saw an astonishing 635.2mm of rain. Wettest day was 26th with 55.4mm and widespread flooding. β¬οΈ

My line on BBCr4 Today on the Iran strikes was this. Last June there were intensive US/Iran talks under way. Aborted by Israeli strikes on Iran which US joined. I think this is similar. The US-Iran-Oman talks seemed to be going well. Netanyahu preempted, and Trump felt he had to follow 1/5

Not just Kruger. Goodwin was also recently arguing that childless women were ruining education, and that women/girls should have babies as soon as they were fertile.

Surely an injustice! No doubt this statement means Goodwin is "deeply concerned" that some voters, egged on by Danny Kruger's ideas of 'traditional family values', may have coerced their relatives into voting for the "sectarianism" of Reform.

Yes; it's exactly what you would expect from Reform. The fact that Labour has picked up essentially racist language from Reform, and used it to attack the Greens in the same way that Reform has, is why Labour is going to destroy itself, if it hasn't already done so.

Sectarian is a bizarre word for Labour to use to attack the Greens.
Growing up in the 70s, it will always be synonymous to me with the Catholic/Protestant strife in Northern Ireland. In more recent times it's been used to describe Shia/Sunni strife in the Middle East.
What does it mean here, now?

Is it a coincidence that on the day Labour scrapped incentives for landowners to sympathetically manage the few remaining wildflower-rich grasslands, including ancient ones...Labour got a drubbing in the polls in Gorton and Denton.
Maybe no direct connection, but the direction of travel is clear.

Labour MP Ian Byrne: "The lines from the PM and Cabinet today essentially labelling the Green Party as extremist is appalling, desperate and frankly embarrassing.
"It also makes very clear that the leadership has zero understanding of where it has been going wrong."
