Spain-Africa: Madrid's radically different approach to African migration Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez's government is kicking against the prevailing mood among Western nations.

Immigration and international aid are good things. Don’t believe me? Take one look at Spain.

Yes, challenges exist but the mutual benefits for Spain and neighbouring African nations are undeniable. The UK should adopt a similar approach.

Unemployment has climbed to its highest level since the pandemic.

Socialist economic policies that have the wellbeing of people at their heart would create jobs for workers.

But we’ve seen the opposite from Labour.

It’s never been clearer that Labour has abandoned its working-class roots.

'The people who make our lives more difficult arrive in private jets, not dinghies.'

There is more than enough wealth in this country to end poverty and fund our NHS.

Communities have been punished by decades of Tory and Labour cuts, whilst the super-rich have hoarded Scotland's wealth.

Far too much of Scotland's land is hoarded by a small group of the extremely rich.

But we can change that.

Scottish Greens are working to strengthen the upcoming Land Reform Bill to boost community ownership and put Scotland’s land in Scotland’s hands.

Free bus travel scheme for young Scots hits 250 million journeys The scheme was launched in January 2022 and offers free bus travel to those under the age of 22.

In 2022 Scottish Greens delivered free bus travel for everyone under the age of 22.

Since then over 250 MILLION journeys have been taken!

Renewables overtake coal as world's biggest source of electricity Developing countries lead the historic clean energy charge but the US and EU rely more on fossil fuels than before, a think tank study shows.

Solar grew by 31% globally in the first half of 2025, while wind grew by nearly 8%.

Renewable energy is the future, providing safe, clean and cheap power - in sharp contrast to the volatility of fossil fuels.

In Scotland we must continue building on our success in this booming industry.

The National. UK Government urged to introduce cost controls on rising food prices.

7.5 million people in the UK already live in food poverty, and food prices are spiralling with inflation.

Price protections can help ensure people are able to feed their families. The UK government must work with supermarkets to ensure prices are affordable.

Insch railway station's Victorian charm comes at a cost to passengers – so who’s going to foot the bill? Campaigners have been trying for years to get money for step-free access, but no government or agency seems willing to pay up.

Disabled and elderly people in Insch cannot afford to wait another decade for their station to be made accessible.

Cut the bureaucracy. The UK government must give ownership and responsibility for rail infrastructure in Scotland to Scotland.

The scenes in London today are deeply concerning.

A far-right conman, aided by tech and media billionaires, managed to mobilise 100,000 people. Including thugs who attacked police and counter-protesters.

Cultural boycotts have been vital in telling oppressive regimes they will not be normalised.

Israel must not be allowed to use Eurovision as a platform to launder its reputation while committing atrocities.

The UK should join the growing boycott of Eurovision if Israel takes part.

🏠 Households across Scotland are experiencing the impact of the #HousingEmergency, caused by a broken housing system.

📉 What broke it? This week, MSP Patrick Harvie highlighted in Parliament what's long been clear: decades of under-investment and a failure to act has created the housing emergency.

Eurovision should not be used as a forum to drown out the cries of those experiencing war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.

Just like Russia, Israel should not be allowed to take part until there is peace and its leaders are held accountable for their crimes.

Keir Starmer's response to the collective punishment of over two million people has been a grotesque failure of moral leadership.

Last week the Scottish Parliament voted for Scotland to join the global movement to boycott apartheid Israel.

Proposals brought forward by Scottish Greens have been supported by a majority of MSPs.

Abolish first class on trains. Only 2% of first class seats are sold. Return them to public use. More seats. Better accessibility. Improved comfort.

While thousands of rail commuters are forced to stand in the aisle, first class sits empty. It makes no sense to divide up our trains like this.

It's time to scrap first class and return those seats to use.
