Gravierende Irreführung der Leserschaft: "Die Welt" hatte sich im Juni die anti-zivilgesellschaftliche Erzählung zusammen-geraunt, dass die EU-Kommission Umwelt-NGOs als Schattenlobby beauftrage - dafür kassiert das Springer-Blatt nun eine Rüge des Presserats.

Das Vorgehen der @tagesschau.de ist im höchsten Maße fragwürdig. Das EU-Parlament hat mit Mehrheit bereits festgestellt, dass die Vorwürfe haltlos sind. Hohlmeier und Pieper sind notorische NGO-Gegner und die Beiden unwidersprochen als Zitatgeber zu nutzen ist tendentiös und einseitig.

In DE there is in fact a rule that forbids "unnessecary running of the engine" (admittingly it is legally tricky to define "unnessecary"). Don't know if something like this exists in Belgium, but I think this person deserves that the police calls a tow truck.

The exercise can be summarized as "too little, too late": Unrealistic assumptions reg. market size & flawed intervention logic. Great if companies address their risks, buy will not happen through buying generic credits on a EU nature market. In the meantime the EC & VDL take away the #LIFEprogramme.

No, they will continue a witchhunt against environmental NGOs as a distraction.

In a crucial ENVI committee vote this evening, the S&D managed to narrowly block an attempt by the right to cut vital EU funds to NGOs fighting for climate action and the environment. We keep up the pressure as the EU Commission cannot backtrack on its support for these organisations.

Aber gleichzeitig schreien die Landesagrarminister in Brüssel, dass es mehr GAP-Gelder braucht. 🤡 Wofür den eigentlich? Für die Honorierung gesellschaftlicher Leistungen wohl kaum, wenn man mit der Kettensäge auf alles losgeht, was irgendwie grün ist.

GAP und Kohäsionspolitik sollen so bleiben wie sie sind, Agrarhaushalt im Idealfall sogar etwas größer. Nichts konkretes zu Eigenmitteln und Mittelaufwuchs. Das klingt alles nach 0815-Standard MFR-Forderung, die man auch aus dem letzten KoaV hätte nehmen können.

Thanks. I also just recently noticed that they run in parallel with @europeansleeper.eu and that I couldn't go by night train from Brussels to Berlin on certain days. Not sure why, does ÖBB try to crowd out the competition on this line?
