…who was hurt by it, that couldn’t see through the lies and concealed colonial agenda of it all. It was seen as a pillar of “hope”…when in reality it was assimilation and ceding sovereignty for a limited handpicked body that breaks cultural law…a handful of people cannot speak for 350+ nations…

..this place is racist. It is a settler colony…it is ONTOLOGICALLY RACIST. This cannot be unwoven from its fabric. “The settler exists as long as the native does”.
The Voice being put down was a better outcome for sovereignty and Indigenous self-determination, though can empathise with the many…Pt3
…more so by how violent and racist the actual process of the referendum was (as it inevitably will be, since it’s a process of the settler state and not an Indigenous process at all), rather than the outcome. We all knew, those of us without the cognitive dissonance or colonial whitewashing…Pt2

“The Voice” was an assimilationist project to essentially erase the Indigenous identity and legal power of Indigenous sovereignty’s by enshrining such a body in the settler colonial constitution.
The Voice had to be defeated the same as the Treaty Principles Bill. Mob are still traumatised…P1
