Dr Parker says "the belief that some breeds were more aggressive than others was absolutely invalid." I'm not so sure about that. Saying it's the owner's fault is cold comfort to those who've been attacked. No dog should be loose in front yards or in public places.

I have done the trip with family many times, probably about 30 trips, mostly to head to south coast NSW so the change hasn't suited us. The government's reasoning is Melbourne isn't the destination primarily but the mainland. Our last trip was Geelong so we just made a road trip out of it.

I believe port costs was the overriding factor.

Except Tasmanian taxpayers aren't laughing.

This is the modelling from the FSC. They estimated the Greens $2M indexed policy would impact 300,000 fewer people than Labor's original unindexed $3M policy at retirement age.
