Happy St Davids Day Welsh friends!

This is an old painting/print of mine- ARAWN, Welsh King of the Otherworld and his hounds. They escort souls through the underworld.

"Long is the day and long is the night, and long is the waiting of Arawn"

A solitary figure sits atop a throne made entirely of skulls. His hands are the only features not obscured by shadow or the flowing crimson of his hooded cloak, which spills down the raised dais. Candles set on each arm of the throne melt over the inset skulls. A wisp of smoke trails from one. On the floor lie several bodies. One man died clutching his throat. A woman in a white gown lies awkwardly on one hip while her arm extends behind her where she fell. An empty chalice lies on its side.

A watercolor painting of a satyr embracing a young man from behind, gently peeling apart the man's flesh on his chest. Birds emerge from the opening in the man's chest. The man reaches one hand to back to caress the satyr's face, the other presses the satyr's hand to his chest. There's some circular celtic knotwork designs on the borders. The overall colors are warm golds and browns.

Finally finished this up! It's done in watercolor, gouache, and color pencils. I know I should try to render it in more detail but I'm not sure I want to. I like the texture being able to be textures. Maybe that will change in the future. For now, though, I like it 😅

I was able to play this game years ago. I really liked it. I highly recommend it.

Been a struggle with recovery, nerve damage in the face. Sensations I do not like 24/7. No internet or cell service for 18 days, now restored. Immediately mood tank when fixed (lower than already low) Hard to motivate to do anything. Feels like living under a heavy stone, all the little bones crunch
