I renovated the Lincoln Bathroom in the White House. It was renovated in the 1940s in an art deco green tile style, which was totally inappropriate for the Lincoln Era. I did it in black and white polished Statuary marble. This was very appropriate for the time of Abraham Lincoln and, in fact, could be the marble that was originally there!

I don’t think the R brand is very good either. But D polls worse. Despite this, Ds are favored in the generic ballot by 3-5 points for Congress. But, that makes the margins stay razor close. And, I don’t see why we should be doing this badly against a historically unpopular ruling party.

It’s true. They’re out-hustling us. Of course, much of it is the fact that the young voters we register tend to pick “unaffiliated” when it comes to party, whereas the voters Republicans register are less likely to choose “unaffiliated.” It’s weird. And shows we have a brand problem. 🤷🏻‍♂️

EXACTLY. It’s a bit shocking, but the Republicans have registered more voters than the Democrats in the last year, and there’s been a net swing of 4.5 million voters over 30 states that report registration since 2020. Yet, Democrats seem to be stuck in the triumphalism of the Obama years.

I’ve said this before… he’d happily turn it into a 20-story members-only club and casino, with an attached premium Arab golf course built on the national mall.

It’s still shocks me that one person can keep Congress out of session perpetually. Where the fuck is that written in the constitution?

Turns out there is no such thing as “law” if the president decides there is no such thing as “law.” When all of law-enforcement is owned by one guy, and Congress shrugs and says “whaddya gonna do ‘bout it” like some kind of mob goon, that’s it for the Republic. Kiss it goodbye.
