A new RCSI study highlights the difficult choices faced by people with chronic conditions when experiencing financial constraints.
Over one-third of those surveyed had avoided healthcare appointments or buying medicine in the past year due to cost.

➡️ Trauma: 20% of deaths (1-14 yrs) & 51% (15-18 yrs)
➡️ Cancer: 25% of deaths (1-14 yrs), 16% (15-18 yrs)
➡️ 75% of infant deaths occurred in the neonatal period #NOCA2025
Hester Girling, CVDPREVENT shares insights on primary care audits:
➡️ 66.8% of hypertension patients met thresholds
➡️ Black & mixed ethnic groups were least likely to get cholesterol treatment
➡️ Stroke mortality was highest in Black groups; heart attack mortality highest in Asian groups #NOCA2025
