When not in use the PsychoKnight will fall back into stasis, it's mind retreating back into the Dream where it slumbers until summoned forth again.

In order to power and control a PsychoKnight they are paired with a PsychoPrince, a specially trained and modified PsychoDoll that interfaces with the machine, reaching into the Dream in which the consciousness of the Knight dwells and bringing her forwards into the Nightmare, if only for a time.
