This bit in the From Russia With Love game made me laugh out loud. You've got a fairly grounded, low key fight based on the one in the movie, then the most video game looking fucker of all time slides into frame.

RE 7: oh yeah the Baker's house is amazing! But the ship just sucks.

Village: oh yeah the level design is awesome and the village itself is great! But the workshop sucks.

Requiem: oh yeah the Clinic rocks! But the second half feels like a drag

Personally I love the atmosphere and the tense moments that are followed by getting to face the nightmares straight on with a 12 gauge and only a few bullets to do so. But it's that balance what's usually hard to achieve, more so in these recent entries (they tend to fall flat on its second half)

Yeah yeah lots of games and all that but some plot points just feel waaaay too much like member berries, and Grace sure is no Claire. Or Jill. Or Rebecca. But hey it's fine another Ethan is what everyone loves about RE right?

Ok what people ACTUALLY love RE for?

I'd like to say Requiem is among my favorite RE games, but at the same time it feels at times like I'm playing a fanfic. And a bad one at that.

Yeah, that second half sure really made me forget how good the first half was...

Very fun and enjoyable game, but woooooow that second half feels like a completely different game. Or to be precise: feels like what I thought the series already understood the game was at it weakest
