I read Frederick Douglass’ book recently. And over 200 years later this regime wants to bring back confederate statues showing “loyal” slaves (see The Atlantic article). There is no such thing as a loyal slave. Slaves owners/traders beat, whipped, manipulated, and terrorized their slaves.
