Sure. It's not specific to foliage. You'll be able to enable it on anything. Probably won't work great for everything though.

And if I’m being honest, especially with DX going Spir-v as an IR, just choosing one language is great but syntactically I like where HLSL 2021 is headed more than Slang in some very specific ways

The prospect of Slang being the new multi-platform standard shading language is very interesting to me, especially in terms of bridging the gap between Vulkan and DX, but I’d really love to see these both come together syntactically wrt templates and struct member func behavior
