making the bases for these guys, the usual industrial pattern plasticard and wires, with texture paste being added later. But had to do something more rubble based for the techpriest to match it's stand, and I also tried making small debris piles with the plasticard off-cuts

Thanks, I do normally go with mechanical parts, but one important description of the inspiration for these (skitarii praetorians from the titanicus book), is that they're "gene-bulked", so I did specifically use one of the gun servitors muscular arms (and swapped the hand with the others)

Thanks, that area is not something I think turned out that well, I'm not good at sculpting so I don't think the cloth itself is good, I just did what I could to save it by layering a few different shapes of it then covering some with the armour

a few more details on this guy, a sub arm to help wield the pole-axe, some waist armour, and a faceplate from an arco-flaggellant

Tried some green stuff waist cloth type things, though I'm not good at sculpting so I'm not too keen on them, I'll see if they look any better after putting some armour plating on top but might just rip them off

made a power pole-axe type weapon using a goremonger chainsword/spear and squat power axe head, and combined the arm and mechanical hand of some original gun servitor parts to hold it, just gotta permanently attach all of them now and I can get to detailing

and for these guys, I've made some changes while working on the others, including re-doing the bolter arm with new upper arm and weapon mount, added claws to the power fist, made an arc rifle weapon limb using a techpriest arm, added extra leg supports, and more

ordered them myself just earlier today

Made a bit of terrain that matches the bases of my admech kitbashes.

the servitors now have shoulders (taken from the always-useful kataphron kit) for their wire arms, and with a few more wires sticking out their torso, that should be the techpriest done and I can move onto finishing the gun servitors/skitarii praetorians

changed the techpriest's servitors to have rad pistol weapon arms and data-spiketype things on the other side, along with detailing where I cut them on the torso to be a bit of a cleaner mechanical separation which I'll put a few more dangling wires in

back to the other guys, who I've got a better idea of after thinking on it

Preparing for titanfall - Commission for @aliradan.bsky.social . She and her crew are busy going over the final checks, people yelling orders and teams cross checking each minute detail with each other. An ordered cacophony. After thumbs ups and affirmatives she is cleared for titanfall.

decals and highlights, keeping them simple with just some squad markings and shoulder patch symbols, and only a shade brighter on the main colours, and touching up a few others. Pretty much done, just the purity seal text left (I only noticed/remembered after taking the picture)

Recently I've tried a few different ranges washes/shades, now I've come back round to GW/citadels, and nun oil is one of the most used/well known for a reason

just a few more small parts and cleanups to get with the base colors before I can shade the skits

testing more parts for the skitarii praetorians and techpriest, I want one to have a pole-axe type-weapon I need to figure out

That's a neat idea, kind of like my older techpriest which I made as a hivemind of other dead techpriests-turned servo skulls, but I want to specifically work servitors into this build, since the model is a "servitor underseer" and I've turned his usual servitors into skitarii

more painting on the skits, and testing out some build ideas on the others

The gun servitor's bolter might be a bit big on the praetorian(/big/old-style skit) so I'll see what I can swap that out for, and I'm thinking about giving the priest directly controlled servitors torsos

It's my birthday, which is the one day of the year I get to be selfish. The nicest thing you could do is check out my art, maybe even leave a reply. I'm firmly in old man territory now but I'll keep doing art as long as I'm allowed.
