My mate, Summer Winos comrade and Mulgrave Audio oppo @andrewtsmith.bsky.social has spent the last couple of years quietly working on the biography of Roy Clarke, with the help of Roy himself. It's called 'Writing All Hours', it's being published by @tenacrebooks.bsky.social, and it'll be ace.

And that right there is why you’re the right person to be writing his biography. I’m glad that the great man is still going strong at 96 and I hope he knows the impact he’s made with his work and how loved it remains. :)

The one thing the show has going over Heartbeat is that they’re allowing the show to move forwards in time. Heartbeat seemed to be stuck in 1969 for about 10 years!
