Agreed. That said, as an early driver of inbound marketing and "metrics that matter" (organic traffic has been drilled as a KPI) the optics are interesting. Digital marketers are going to need to reestablish meaningful KPIs, get gutsy, and re-educate execs, boards, etc. as the landscape changes.

Hot take on Hubspot's SEO rankings drop, 2/12/2025 they release quarterly numbers - wanna know the impact of SEO, bookmark that date and see what they report. I'm not saying that is everything, but the impact on SEO matters most if it impacts...the business. IMHO.
