You’re not lazy, you’re overwhelmed. You’re not antisocial, you’re drained. You’re not broken, you’re trying to survive in a system built to burn you out.

Was recently invited to YouTube HQ in London, the @wearfigs team was also present, who kindly provided us with embroidered scrubs - even as a GP I’ll be able to use, as I often wear them in clinic

The best part…dedicated pen pocket!! (I’m sure pens in clinic have legs!!! 🖊️ 💨

Ok. It’s official. Doctors have fans. I may have fan boyed a *little* today

I met Dr Hilary Jones - and was able to SHAKE. HIS. HAND!

Although I perhaps didn’t ingratiate myself too well, by saying “I’ve been watching you on GMT since I was at school!!!”

Bizarrely I’ve just been featured on Jobs.ac.uk

Perhaps it should have had the subtitle “The Accidental Doctor” for as far as becoming a doctor goes, it’s been one “Oopsie daisy” after another!

So after having a 14 month old with bronchiolitis - it’s really clarified things in my mind

There is a lot of info out there, but in summary:

“It will go away on it’s , unless it gets worse… then they need oxygen and going to hospital - oh, and there isn’t anything you can do to change that” 😒

I went to see my patient on #EOLcare & saw that the nurse had encased his hands in warm water-filled gloves, to simulate human touch (his family was not able to be there). Below is a googled picture. This kind of compassion is not taught in school. My heart is full. @3wishesprogram.bsky.social

-disclaimer, I hate that phrase as it doesn’t reflect what’s actually going on with disc herniation

So YouTube has now enabled 3 minutes shorts!

Which is great, as trying to get medical info into 60sec is - well I spent more time writing the script than actually communicating!

I’ll be really interested to see if this is causation or merely correlation.

Is it that dark chocolate eaters are opting for a lower sugar option?

Or perhaps the polyphenols in dark chocolate?

Sounds like a study with minimal downsides though!
