As a teacher, sometimes I have to ask what I can do to encourage horses to drink when I have led them to the trough...

Other times I have to ask why I'm waterboarding horses.

I don't think sesame street is a tier anymore, tbh. Last time I watched it, it was a Shadow of it's former glory. C tier, tops. It was like 5 minutes of seseme street goodness and then 20 minutes of Elmo being easily the worst Muppet.

Ah gotcha. I used to work with a guy who always insisted he was gluten free because it upset his stomach, and I found it so funny that he'd always order Couscous at the Mediterranean restaurant where we sometimes ate lunch. It never seemed to bother him when he didn't know 😂

Cous cous is more of a pasta than a grain, I think.

The suggestion is technically metaphor, but many Frankenfans use Adam as shorthand for the monster because we refuse to call him a monster.

The book refers to him mostly as creature or fiend if I remember correctly.

He doesn't officially have a name, but he does suggest that perhaps he should be called Adam, as he's the first of his kind.

FRANKENSTEIN ROBBED GRAVES TO RESEARCH AND UNDERSTAND DEATH, BUT THERE'S NOTHING IN THE BOOK THAT SAYS ADAM WAS STITCHED TOGETHER CORPSES. FRANKENSTEIN EXPLICITLY SAYS HE will not EXPLAIN HOW HE MADE ADAM BECAUSE HE DOESN'T WANT OTHERS TO FOLLOW IN HIS FOOTSTEPS.

I wish I had a good answer. Our 6yo struggles with some perfectionism too.

Sometimes we have some success by praising effort and validating feelings, other times it doesn't help much at all.
